Frequently Asked Questions
How do I delete my account?
You can delete your account directly in the app by going to Settings → Delete Account. This action is permanent and cannot be undone. You can also request deletion by emailing support@allmybesties.com.
How do I report a user?
You can report users directly within the app by tapping on their profile and selecting "Report". You can also block users to prevent them from contacting you.
How do I change my notification settings?
You can manage push notification preferences in your device settings or within the Besties app.
Is my data safe?
Yes. We use industry-standard security measures including encrypted data transmission (HTTPS/TLS) and secure authentication. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
Who can see my profile?
Only other verified students at your university can see your profile. All users must verify their .edu email address to access the app. You can also enable Private Mode to hide from friend discovery.
What is Private Mode?
Private Mode hides your profile from the Friends discovery feed. When enabled, you also won't be able to browse the discovery feed yourself. Your profile remains visible in community posts, groups, hangouts, and to existing friends. You can enable it in Settings → Privacy & Safety.
Community Guidelines
Besties™ is intended for college students ages 18 and older. Our community is built on respect and genuine connection. All users must:
- Be respectful and kind to other users
- Use your real identity and authentic photos
- Not harass, bully, or intimidate others
- Not post inappropriate, offensive, or illegal content
- Not spam or misuse the platform
- Report violations to help keep the community safe
Violations of these guidelines may result in account suspension or termination.
Safety Tips
When meeting people from Besties™ in person:
- Meet in public places, especially for first meetings
- Tell a friend where you're going and who you're meeting
- Never share financial information or passwords
- Trust your instincts and leave if uncomfortable
- Report suspicious behavior to us and campus security
